Rozetka is the largest online retailer in the country; but you are probably aware of it anyway. Instead, we are going to tell you what you might not be aware of. Say, Rozetka is the fifth most visited website in Ukraine after Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Wikipedia. This company has got more than three thousand product categories, 3.5 million products on sale, and about 20 million unique users every day (which is literally half the country, isn’t it?).
Challenge
Rozetka first came to us wanting to determine the focus of its brand and communication, ‘We have been selling so many brands for so many years now that we can no longer define our own brand’. After a dozen studies and a few weeks of analytical work, we realised that updating a strategy would entail the update of not only the communication but also the design. When everything seems to work as it does, it is not so easy to go in for changes. But it's crucial if you think long-term, not just from a flight to a flight.
Solution
We have defined a new positioning and could not believe how naturally it entwined in the brand, ‘down to a T’, as they say. Rozetka is a company that makes small and big everyday dreams come true. And this is not as pretentious as it may seem at first. Just listen to yourself. What little thing would make you happier right now? Brand-new Bluetooth headphones with good noise absorption? A portable fan? A big black T-shirt with a waggish inscription on? A polka dot cup and a box of Stozhary candies? (they are here, by the way). These are not big and serious dreams for years; these are ordinary little everyday dreams. Rozetka is here to make them come true.
Design system
We also decided not to revolutionise the design system, because it could cost the company too much: to lose the logo that had been fully recognisable for eighteen years would be unacceptable. So, we updated the logo, adjusted the design system, and then tackled together with our customer the signboards, banners, content, promotions, holders, wobblers, pointers, minibuses, and a billion other online and offline brand elements.
Communication
As for the communication, we cut loose: Rozetka was constantly on the air, so we provided creative ideas for a new campaign every two months. But that’s another story, so stay tuned!

On New Year’s Eve, almost every Ukrainian can name the Chinese Zodiac animal of the incoming year. We've failed to find a direct correlation between the Ukrainians and the Chinese beliefs but still had a look just in case. We found out it was going to be the year of the Pig!
We immediately knew who would become the hero of the New Year’s sticker pack: Rozetka + the Year of the Pig = Electric Hog! So we drew a charismatic hog, adding a bit of typical New Year insights.

We invited singer Jerry Heil to become the voice of happy moms, and turn the chorus “Okhrana otmiena” (which means cancellation of a purchase at a cashier desk) into the slogan of all carefree parents.

This time on the eve of a new school year together with Rozetka we launched a psychotherapeutic campaign. Starring super mom who manages to buy everything her children might need at school, and entertain herself with some shopping, all at the same time.

We are not sure about you, but we are always nervous when we order clothes and shoes online. Will we find the trousers too loose-fitting? Won’t the T-shirt be too tight? We were honestly happy for our client and gladly agreed to develop a visual identity for the new brand: creating everything from the parent brand logo, examples of logo placement, and packaging design. Here’s what we realized in 2020: predictability is the new black. Because when things are going as they have been for the last ten months, we begin to appreciate simple and predictable things: here’s your snow, here’s the kettle that still boils water, and you will definitely find string lights and gifts for your dears on Rozetka. And that’s exactly what happened to the children in our videos: they saw life but did not fall into despair because they can always rely on Rozetka. You personally can also take a break amidst this crazy world at least for thirty seconds while enjoying our little stories.

For decades, marketing experts have argued what came first: rational motivation or emotional impulse. In our new Valentine's Day campaign for Rozetka we opted not to choose and combined it all: the desire to find the right present, the pressing need to make it with maximum convenience, and everything in between.
Predictably, all the rational and emotional plots end on Rozetka.
But love doesn't have to end on Valentine's Day. To celebrate the beginning of spring’s love season we shoot one more video from this series.
SCHOOL OF LIFE BY CHILDREN AND MONATIK
August - September 2021
We launched an unusual ad campaign for the start of the new school year. ‘The School of Life’ is a series of life hacks offered by children and sung by MONATIK to his music. Needless to say, we do love creative collaborations more than conventional celebrity marketing.
It seems that September is a big thing in our lives only as long as we are pupils. But not really — we are adults now, and September is about a university or a school for our children and the children of our friends. All in all, it turns out that life itself is like attending school. And every September we come back to all of that one way or another.
To make sure you can put school lessons into practice, we invited nine talented children who had something to say to the world. And MONATIK — a self-made star, a real idol adored by millions, and a great role model for new generations rather than just a celebrity — helped them say a word.
